About Me
KIM ROBINS – INSTRUCTOR
As a business writing adjunct instructor at Delta College since April 2009, my primary role is to teach first-year college business writing students how to communicate clearly in business. When I am not teaching business writing, helping students with their writing skills, or grading students' writing assignments, I am
experimenting with different ways of effectively incorporating technology into the face-to-face course. My goal is to make learning a fun, lasting, and effective experience for the students.
In June 2010, I will graduate with a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology (M.A.I.T.) from Saginaw Valley State University. Previously, I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University and a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate from Hope College. My majors were French and art, and my minor was English.
My business experience spans 25+ years. My career started as an instructional designer for a global manufacturer of office furniture. Then I worked as an entrepreneur in retail. Next I served my clients as a program manager of market research for a mid-sized service firm. Today I am a technologist for a large-scale toxicology research department for a worldwide organization, while teaching at the college.
